It’s that time of the year again!

We’re counting down the top reader-favorite recipes 2022!

These recipes are the ones that readers came back to over and over again over the course of the year – and it’s easy to see why! We’ve got saucy wings, crispy chicken, cozy stews, and so much more.

The one thing I’ve realized over and over again as I shared reader-favorites recipes from 2021, 2020, and more is, that you guys love FLAVOR just as much as I do. We don’t shy away from herbs and seasonings around here!

Okay, let’s get this countdown started 🎉🎉

12. Firecracker Chicken Wings

These extra crispy chicken wings are essential for game day! They’re made in the air fryer or the oven, and I use a secret little ingredient to make them extra crispy. Pssst… If you’re into wings, these lemon pepper ones and the garlic parmesan ones definitely deserve honorable mentions!

11. Halal Cart Chicken and Rice Bowls

Halal chicken and rice bowls are a recipe that I’ve made so many times over this year! It’s flavorful chicken in a bowl with turmeric rice and lots of white sauce on top! Just like your favorite NYC food cart!

10. Lebanese Rice Pilaf

This rice pilaf is a recipe that I’ve been making for years! I finally got around to sharing it on a separate page on the blog this year. It’s absolutely perfect to serve in bowls with beef shawarma, kebobs, stews, and so much more!

9. Birria de Res

It took me a while to perfect this one. But patience is the key when you’re making birria de res! We make it on the stovetop when it’s a lazy weekend or in the instant pot for a quicker version. It’s tender chunks of seared beef that are stewed with onions, chile paste, garlic, and lots of herbs and spices. Shredded birria is great in quesabirria tacos or in birria ramen!

8. Extra Crispy Beef Samosas

This is my moms recipe for homemade crispy beef samosas. It’s one that I grew up eating and it’s something that I crave all the time. We love keeping a big baggy full of these in the freezer that you can easily air fryer or make in the deep fryer. Promise you these won’t disappoint.

7. Chile Colorado

Chile Colorado is a soul-warming heat-you-to-your-bones stew recipe. It’s made with red chili sauce, chunks of beef, and lots of onions and garlic. Basically, all the things that always lead to a cozy meal! I love serving this with mexican rice but you can also serve with homemade flour tortillas.

6. Fancy but Easy Salmon Piccata

Salmon piccata is the piccata recipe you didn’t know you needed! This one is truly restaurant-worthy but easy enough to make for date-night, valentines day, or for when you’re hosting! On the table in around 30 minutes with pasta and a side of garlic broccolini.

5. Crunchy Chicken Caesar Wraps

These wraps are always on cue for quick desk lunches. We start with my homemade chicken tenders (ahem, that’s coming up in the countdown) and load the wraps into tortillas with crisp lettuce and my 2-minute caesar dressing!

4. Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

It’s no secret that I officially can’t live without my airfryer now. I’m making these tenders for wraps all the time these days. It’s crunchy chicken tenders that I soak in buttermilk before coating them in a crunchy cornflakes mixture and air frying them. They’re just as delicious as the deep fried version but so much better for you!

3. Halal Cart White Sauce

I can’t believe you guys loved the sauce even more than the bowl! This homemade whit sauce tastes just like the stuff on your famous NYC chicken and rice bowl, but you won’t believe how easy it is to make at home! We seriously drizzle this on EVERYTHING when it’s around!

2. Avgolemono Soup (Greek Lemon Soup)

This classic Greek soup is so warm and cozy! You’ll need some chicken stock, eggs, lemon juice, shredded chicken (use a rotisserie to make it extra fast!) and rice. Cook it all together until it’s warm and cozy and top with lots of dill!

1. The Best Garlic Bread You’ll Ever Have

When you make sure garlic bread is the top recipe of the year, I know I’ve truly found my people! My recipe is unlike any you’ve had before – guaranteed. A splash of truffle oil makes this extra delicious and just brings the whole thing together!

Thank you so much to each and every one of you that made the recipes, took the time to leave comments and shared my recipes with others. You honestly are the reason I get to do what I love and I can’t express how glad I am that you’re here!
