Strawberry Kale and Spinach Detox Smoothie Final Shot 3

I like you. And I think about you often. Like… every single day.

I think about what kind of scones you might like. I think about what kind of cookies you’ll want to make this weekend. I think about vegetarian things for you…I think about gluten free ideas too. I think about butter and sugar and garlic. Not together though, of course. Because that would be weird.

Today I thought about making you a little healthier. A detox smoothie for an after workout snack or as breakfast before rushing out the door.

Sometimes it’s nice to throw things in a blender and call it a meal.

PS. This can be made the night before and kept in the refrigerator for the morning meal/snack. It totally tastes the same. I used this blender to make my smoothie. It super powerful and a great investment for those of you that make smoothies/blends often!

PPS. My husband, hater of all things veggies, (up until recently) has declared he loves these smoothies. That’s saying a lot, folks. You don’t know him that well yet, so let me explain. That’s like saying a 4 year old just happily agreed to eat brussels sprouts for breakfast.

Happy Friday!

Strawberry Kale and Spinach Detox Smoothie Ingredients Top ShotI used fresh strawberries this time but frozen work just as well! I often use a frozen pineapple, mango and strawberry combo, if your grocery store sells that, it would be perfect for this recipe!

Strawberry Kale and Spinach Detox Smoothie Ingredients three quarter viewIts a citrus smiley. Oranges are season right now so make sure to use fresh oranges. Theres way too much added sugar in store bought stuff anyway.

Strawberry Kale and Spinach Detox Smoothie Ingredients in BlenderPile all the ingredients into the blender. Give it a whiz and drink up this sunshine goodness! For those of you that haven’t tried kale before, you won’t even be able to tell it’s there!
